Nail it!!

Nail it!Inspired by this nail shop ‘naïve’ sign I wanted to discover a ‘no nonsense approach‘ to nails, so when browsing in my local Primark, I came across their ‘Love your nails’ range, the polish was on offer for 80p so I couldn’t argue with that! I selected the colour ‘Caramel Kiss’ which is a nice ‘uniform’ colour, of what I would describe as ‘beigey’ pink, so actually suitable for most wear. To add to this purchase I got the nail polish ‘twist pot’ a ‘no mess’ approach to nail polish removal, you just ‘stick your finger in & twist’, & it actually works! Though I found it ‘a bit stinky’ but as it does the job I can’t complain…

For an extra £1 thought it would be a ‘good show’ to try Love your nails ‘nail corrector pen’ (great for when you mess up – well that’s bound to happen…) though ironically I didn’t need it this time…so well done to me.

Luv luv your nails with this range?

‘Now for an update’ this polish started to chip the same day – typical… I know its cheap but well why can’t they invent a polish that stays on? Now, I would pay extra for that! And I don’t mean those ‘gel nails’ which either means a salon visit or a whole heap of mess at home (I am talking from experience here, it ended up like my nails had been dunked in concrete & left to dry in a bad way, really) so unfortunately for Primark they don’t even get into my ‘Bargain buys’ category…finally what do you think of the nail shop sign? Would you go there?? I just love the ‘hand paintedness’ & the white ‘tipex’ like line, (maybe the ‘tipex’ look will catch on & be ‘de rigeur’ ‘white line chic’) so let’s at least celebrate this ‘innovative approach’, I mean you’re not going to see this image in ‘any magazine ‘that’s for sure!  (though ‘hold the front page’ I might be wrong one day…) Which means embracing this ‘home style nail art’ is even more important!
