Bronde ‘bomb’shell…
I hit my local Boots at the weekend as I had in my head maybe a ‘refresh in the hair department‘ for summer wouldn’t go amiss… so I headed for the hair dye section to see what was ‘on offer’ I didn’t think an ‘all over’ colour would suit, I was thinking more of a ‘scattering of subtle high lights that would glimmer golden in the midday sun’…or at least that’s what I aiming for. There was a great deal of choice on offer especially for all over colours, so there was no harm in looking & dreaming at the images of ‘hair perfection’ on the packets like the blonde ‘bombshell’ bob pictured or the longer freer flowing amber gold tresses in the next shot, or even the ‘cool chick with the shades’ where I ‘cheated’ by using the app on my phone which gives you a ‘mini make over’ by ‘smoothing’ your skin, evening it’s tone…etc. So I thought I’d ‘give it a go’ & I must say I’m rather impressed it looks like I’m wearing a high quality foundation with a good dollop of face powder & for not spending a penny! – how can you go wrong?? I’m like ‘well stoked’ that I can manipulate my image so easily & look a ‘lot better’ into the bargain… so exciting as this new discovery was I was still not solving my hair dilemma… a gentle improvement was my aim, not anything drastic, but I just wasn’t seeing it until I saw the flyer at Saver’s the next shop I hit. The ad featured J-lo with the tag-line ‘I’m a Bronde‘ this certainly got my attention!
The ad states ‘sexier than a blonde, spicier than a brunette‘ maybe this was what I was searching for?? it also says ‘easy to apply with the expert brush’ & ‘one step lightening’ with ‘subtly blended refined golden tones’ – at last!! This was what I was looking for!! & an ‘idiot proof’ application with the exact affect, bingo! So off to the shelves I rushed…but suddenly I stopped in my tracks…isn’t this a ‘bit hasty’? Surely there’s an app where I could try out this look before I commit in ‘reality’? Yes there must be…!? I did an ‘about turn’ & left Saver’s empty handed, deciding that, although I obviously rejected the blonde ‘bombshell’ look (& it would ‘bomb’ with me...) I definitely feel that ‘bronde’ is the way to go but I want to check out this look first with hopefully with an app that will whet my hair make over ‘app’petite!
