Patch-‘WORK’

Modelling the very 'trendy' 'Angelina Hobo bag" - you've seen it here first! So I checked in again to this month’s June issue of Hello Fashion Magazine & sped to ‘the agenda’ section (which is a neat round up of all the latest trends) & I was delighted to see that patchwork was one of this seasons looks. Why was I happy? Well I just received my ‘Angelina Hobo Bag Set’ from my trusty catalogue, which states ‘a long time favourite of those gorgeous Hollywood celebrities we present the ‘Hobo’, this bag is truly a hot fashion item, whether for popping down the shops or for an evening out, you can be sure you’ll always be at the top of the Fashion Parade with this unique & fashionable item’ & with a description like that I eagerly ordered so I was very happy to see I was ‘trending’ again! It’s actually very handy & comes with a matching purse & phone case with a very attractive metallic finish in shimmering gold, bronze, silver & brown with matching edging.

Well! I was more than pleased with my purchase!  (& maybe just a ‘bit smug’..) The agenda article was hilighting the denim patchwork as seen in the Tommy Hilfiger show, certainly affirming this look is ‘runway fresh‘. It’s not the first time patchwork has hit the fashion headlines & certainly won’t be the last… the agenda suggest’s ‘if you’re feeling bold work the trend from head to toe in a pair of dungarees’ Hello's the 'Agenda' let's you know what's 'hot' & what's 'not'...No I don’t think so & I’m not that brave! Me in dungarees? Can you imagine it?!! No! No! No! Call the ‘fashion police’ I’m about to commit some ‘bad’ fashion crime! And also it’s just to much like ‘nonsense’ to me & just well totally ‘wrong‘…of course this is not my first ‘brush with patchwork’ (apart from growing up in the 1970’s that is…) I did a wee bit of patchwork on my City & Guild’s Embroidery course, pictured here is a small hand sewn sample on linen with buttons & studs (well, why not?…)& a rather ‘charming’ book cover with machine embroidered fabric & ‘zig zagged’ across with machine stitches…(yes it was a fair amount of work) All I can say is that I am rather taken with this ‘patchy’ affair….I wonder what’s next on the ‘agenda’??

Oh yes! let's not forget the very handy purse & case 'hobo' stylee... a little 'patch' of hand sewing adding studs & buttons for fun!if the book 'fits'....
