What…price???

On browsing a recent Stylist I was rather amused to find some ‘interesting items’ at what price?? Am I hearing you correctly? £78 for basically a ‘blusher’ just because it’s Tom Ford…it may be good but that’s nearly £80! That’s probably more than you get on the dole these days?? (Hey..I’ve checked this it’s currently £73.10 so yes more than someones weekly income..).it may not be the 'same' but it's still a colourful cushion for £112 cheaper£120 for a…cushion? Am I living in an alternative universe? Who buys these things??? Maybe I am really ‘out of touch’ but come on…! £36 for a lipstick that says Victoria Beckham, sorry but I expect at least 5 for that price! ok...so I've gone for the quantity not quality here...£30 for shampoo..! Good grief..luckily I managed to find a ‘volume boost’ to my pocket by going down to Poundland for my shampoo! A saving of £29! Not bad at all!!!think I'd rather 'boost' my pocket than my hair at the minute...Fancy a ‘smokey eye’? Well in contrast to I’m sure the very lovely Chanel’s ‘Au Naturel’ eye palette for £45 I found an alternative in Primark for £2.50! It may not have the staying power…oh well…but as I’m watching ‘Jerseylicious’ at the moment it is E-sential to have that Smokey Eye look and I’m renaming it ‘i-shadow’…(apparently if you put an ‘i’ in front of it, it’s bound to become ‘trendy’..?)need some 'i-shadow' to get that smokey eye...Then there’s the earring’s, they are ‘lobsters’ and are fun and they are Dolce & Gabbana. So some real kudos here..and I have to admit I could not find a replacement…though I think I discovered something even better! A flamingo ‘sarong’ with matching turban for the grand total of £4.90 from my ‘trusty’ catalogue, all ‘hail’ these fun ‘fashion’ looks…could this ‘inspire’ their next collection..I wonder…? hmmmm….we’ll see.. (yet again you’ve seen it here first!). Flamingo turbans & sarongs ‘ago ago’! (I think…).

well...it's not Dolce & Gabbana..but I think it fits!
