Badly drawn lips….

Browsing through one of those free fashion magazines I came across a trend that I have not seen before ‘missed a bit lips’ I’m like…what? Though it immediately brought to mind various mannequins I’ve spotted with a very similar though unintentional  look (also nowhere near as neat…more ‘edgy’ and ‘crooked’ shall we say…) more scratched on and scrawled = much more achievable! It is an interesting idea…but how practical and wearable is it?

the stylist magazine article

The mannequins featured here represent and…I totally agree with the ‘directional nonchalance’…it’s “my lips are drawn on wobbly and a mess but I don’t care”…I just love the imperfection of the badly painted on looks. The hand drawn scrawl…I just love it! Anything that flies in the face of conventional beauty, in that sense these mannequins are definitely dare I say…smashing it!  (cringe…).

a ‘scary’ lip…and a missed a bit…lip

From one that looks like it’s been painted on using bright red nail polish to a naturally faded paintwork I applaud the devil may care attitude because that’s what it’s all about…The constant perfection thrown in our faces every day from all sorts of media it’s no wonder that this has become a catwalk hit for those designers who wish to stray  from the ‘mob’…Though I’m not saying they are ‘wildly original’ but with wobbly mannequins disappearing by the day…it will be hard going to find any such deviation, where any ‘originality’ will be very thin on the ground (or am I now being too morbid?) Or just realistic? Time will tell…though I’m on the hunt now for the next ‘out take’…

Not really sure if these replacement lips are an ‘improvement’…
