‘Scarfing’ around…
It’s good to know that another ‘trend’ is widely available locally, that somehow I’m not being ‘shortchanged’, and to even suggest that there could possibly be a lack of choice…er no! Therefore I can’t complain (dam…as I do like a bit of a grumble…) but to be perfectly frank regarding the availability of scarf’s near me I really am spoiled for choice. I mean sometimes too much to choose from can be ‘bad’ because how do you decide?
It’s nice to see that the ‘lowly’ scarf is now being given the attention it deserves, as it really is a very versatile and adaptable item, and you can pretty much guarantee there is one to suit everyone and if there isn’t one locally there will be one somewhere and it’s not restricted to being ‘worn’, they are now featured being tied to bags (yes you can buy a bag with one already attached! wow! A good idea?)
It seems the fashion is for both wearing around the head and the neck (I know that I’m stating the obvious but there is a ‘big thing’ about how it’s tied etc…) and I’m talking about colourful elegant scarfs here, not your dependable ‘winter woollies’ (though they are essential at present). So if keeping warm is not your ‘top priority’ then don’t worry as silky smooth satin scarfs are on the menu, and I’m happy to say I’ve found a very good variety from the High Street shops (…well at present…) to the Charity Shop’s and Indoor Market. Even better I’ve found some mannequins encapsulating different looks, so from the cat walk down to the Charity Shop and onto the Market I’m pleased to say it’s been an ‘abundant haul’.
With silky scarfs providing no heat whatsoever, may be ditch them during the day and just wear them ‘of an evening’ and use their bright colours and texture to add drama and excitement to your night-time look’s. Whether indoors or out, as who says you can’t ‘scarf up’ and watch telly at the same time? For that ‘at home yet bohemian’ vibe (the central picture above is a good example) to wearing to the office it’s a quick ‘twist n tie’ and your done!
Well that’s the theory…it shouldn’t be ‘difficult’ should it? Just have fun! Now I’m feeling thirsty…As fashion and thinking about fashion can be hard work..so please pass the Sherry…! And make it a double!
