Flower ‘arranging’…
With the depressing wet weather (like is it ever going to stop raining…) and the on going crazy political crisis I thought I would distract myself with ‘flower fashion’, where a flower motif unsurprisingly is the main feature. Starting with a vibrant red rose to burn through the misery, red always makes a bold statement and is a very good focus when times are hard and you need that extra ‘boost’, energy and some positivity. So I stopped in my tracks when I found the above blazing red rose (artificial of course) which certainly caught my eye…and then a few days later I found a red flower motif bag to match…a good start I feel.
Then in contrast to that to ‘calm down’ with a neutral shade of beige I came across a clutch bag with a studded flower motif and my new and ‘main’ charity shop mannequin (even though she has only half a body…) was wearing a cool beige yellow flowered blouse, which matched perfectly (don’t think I could ask for more…). ‘Purple Passion’ was next with a swirling rose cushion in a deep meditative shade certainly intense enough and pleasantly ‘hypnotic’.
Then I found an unusual handbag with rather a lot going on in terms of colour yet the flower motifs were there within (most important!). As was a shot of purple and blue mixed with pink, a pretty statement that will do well in lifting the grey dreary mood…To end on a high note I found a bright zesty yellow flower bag and my favourite mannequin was in a more ‘groovy’ mood this time wearing a gold and silver sequinned top, accessorised with a white bag featuring a very vivid flower bursting in a primary ‘rainbow’ array of colour, definitely a good pick me up. The bright yellow ‘singing with sunshine’ amongst the drizzling ‘dead’ days we’re having…please make it stop raining!!
