Elllee I’m back!!

I now I find out on a recent visit to Pitsea market the cheap magazine stall is back on a Saturday! Hallelujah! Got this Elle magazine for £1 so I am almost ‘up to date’ as this is the Nov 14 issue..so I am getting there… Inside I have just been catching up on all the latest trends – tweeds are ‘back’ (did they ever go away?) to mix and match as jackets, skirts etc with your ‘usual woollens’. Metallics are also featured on shoes bags clothes & accessories (again another look that is ‘back’ so nothing actually new).

There is also a fashion feature with Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway (who is on the cover & looks perfection itself) but frankly I find that she ‘oozes pure boredom to me..’ the fashion shoot to me is just not inspirational at all, infact the only film I have seen her in was Bride Wars (which I swear I was somehow ‘brain-washed’ into going after seeing the advert on the side of the bus – I have no other ‘explanation’ as to why simply I had to go no matter what) so I’m sure she’s very good but I am digressing somewhat…

Other looks worth a mention are ‘youthclub spirit’ look, a teenage take on fashion, playful colourful & somewhat ‘downright embarrassing’ if you see what I mean…For ‘grown ups’ we are advised to ‘pare back with cashmere turtle necks, raw-edged denim & Stan Smith trainers a la Celine Phobe Philo.’ Well I may have to give the cashmere a miss (it is very nice but hard on a tight budget) the raw-edged denim saw this look elsewhere,  (more on this later) the trainers might be a bit of a stretch on the price so I’ll look around the market in a ‘hop & a skip’, to see if I can find that fashion inspiration that’ll make me look a sensation – at half the price!!! Ohh also going to look further into the ‘5 min make-up’ trick – it better be good! Watch this space – I may report back on this!
