Leave the label…on
A seemingly unsung fashion ‘heroine’ presented herself to me unexpectedly whilst watching (of all things) Border Security USA, yes I’m being serious! Why? When & how? You may wonder…well she appeared as a very difficult passenger stopped at the Canadian/USA border, she was awkward, belligerent, didn’t want to answer any questions at all (& I can’t say I blame her…) and when she did it was with just one word and that was it! Not only did I love the attitude but the fashion was outstanding with the highlight being a chenille ensemble she wore in the form of hat with labels left on, (including the price tag of £5.99/$12) a scarf as a belt and yellow flip flops in obvious winter with elastic band bracelets that actually looked extremely delicate. (Shame she didn’t have matching anklets!). Oh and let’s not forget the big baggy long winter coat.
Yes she certainly was not your average passenger on any level at all which made it even more fun! Vetements…Chanel….Dior…Dsquared….could it inspire a new collection? Hmmm….I think so! All in all she truly was the best passenger I’ve witnessed on these programmes with her fascinating flamboyant style and her ballsy take no xxxx stance…well she really couldn’t be faulted, feel like wearing the exact same hat, scarf and flip flops just in solidarity with the labels still on! Bring it! Where do I get such items? Poundstretcher? Or the Canadian equivalent? What an absolute icon in the making! On the lookout now for the matching chenille hat & scarf set, baggy coat and of course those yellow flip flops (why are they not ‘viral’ already???) though to note I don’t know what bag she had though think it was a canvas shopper, yep I think they would definitely go! She could really swing that at those jumped up toffee nosed officials! Serve them right too! Can’t wait to get into this ‘get up’ watch out world for the chenille marching, bag swinging fashion protesters! Flip flops at the ready even if it is freezing!!! Oh and she didn’t make it into the USA…she was refused….shame!
