Beauty’s ‘in the bag’ at M&S
The £160 value for a £25 price tag sounds like a real bargain but you will need to spend £30 before you can snap up this ‘treasure’. Also of the total 11 items six are full-size and five are travel mini’s which is okay but is it worth the £55 outlay? (considering the £30 up front cost…). Of the first mini items is M&S’s own Autograph lip chubby in a coral pink…oh dear not one of my favourite colours (though it was my mum’s!). I never have tried it before but hey why not? Clinique’s Moisture Surge 100-hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator really sounds like it will do the job! But will it…? Also another moisturiser in oil form for face, body and hair NUXE Huile Prodiguese Florale Multi-Purpose Dry Oil again okay but I really don’t need to add oil to my face it’s shiny enough LOL! More exciting is Origins eye cream which promises to brighten and depuff, definitely need that at times.
I’ve tried their products in the past and I found them most excellent if rather on the pricey side. Prai ‘Ageless’ Upper Arm cream…well I’ve never used a cream just for my arms…maybe I’m missing out? Might give it a go…there’s also a fragrance too ‘Discover White Coconut’ and Aveda’s Botanical Repair Leave in Treatment apparently that alone is worth £28! Lets not forget the fingers with Nails Inc “‘No Bad Days In Notting Hill’” whatever that is about! Yes I would like to go to Notting Hill but often can’t afford to…unfortunately this is also in pink (yawn…). Back to hair with Percy & Reed’s ‘Time To Shine Mirror Mirror Shine’ Serum again never heard of them but if it makes my hair ‘sparkle’ I’ll let it off with the over long name thing. This Works Perfect Legs Body Butter (I wish) and Emma Hardie (who?) Plump & Glow Hydrating Facial Mist. Wow! Never have used but willing to give it a try. So after reading all this am I tempted?
On first seeing the article about this offer, I did make a point of going down to M&S and they were plenty in stock, but would I really want to spend £30 first? I don’t do large shops at M&S generally, so it definitely would have to be something special to bother about. I would never buy clothes there…bring back the good old days of A-line skirts, ‘slacks’, twinsets and sensible shoes! Now it’s all very ‘trendy’ which is definitely not ‘my bag’ as you know. I could see myself spending £30 in the food hall especially if wine is included but sadly that is not part of the terms and conditions…so overall I’m not tempted despite the £160 ‘value’. Also I’m not a fan of the pink neon bag…I’m just not a ‘pink person’ (sorry Zandra…each to their own and all that). I thought I’d better check out this offer which not really to Marks & Spencer’s great loss I will unfortunately in this instance decline.
