My feet are still UP!
“These boots are made for walking, and that‘s just what they‘ll do, one of these days these boots are going to walk all over you“…a song I remember by Nancy Sinatra. Well it‘s not really what I‘ve been doing a lot of recently as I‘ve been housebound for the whole of December. I can‘t go anywhere unless I get a lift or taxi, but I‘m plodding on with my exercises and hoping for the best. I‘m trying to be as positive as possible, having an operation is a big decision and a risk to see if it will work, and feel I‘m a long way off full recovery. It‘d certainly would help if the pavements where I live were actually even, and not full of cracks, holes, stones etc…it‘s difficult and unnerving, each step I take has to be slow and considered, so I can‘t go out at all during busy times. I‘m not using crutches in the house. And outside for short periods only, but have had to stop as it was killing my back…meanwhile, I‘ve been perusing some of my photos to look at suitable winter boots.
Unfortunately because of multiple feet problems unless I‘m actually there to try the footwear on, I can‘t order online anymore! I’ve had too many problems with shoes not fitting, (including one time when I was sent two left feet! Like how??). I have to be there or no where. Looking at some of these boots, they do look comfortable (apart from the high-heeled ones) which are immediately ruled out, flat is another one. I can‘t wear totally flat shoes…I have to have some heel. Therefore from my current selection I would choose the furry strapped/part suede boots with a heel. All these boots were photographed in charity shops, so I guess they won‘t be available now, though it‘s good to keep tabs on what is happening out there in the charity world of fashion. I just have to take baby steps to recovery, fingers crossed it will go well. I‘m still scared of going out in busy places, because I can‘t move out of the way quick enough…hopefully things will improve over time. We shall see before I start putting the boot in lol!
