A ‘mixed’ bag…

So out of the darkness of lockdown my first foray into nonessential shops opening happily commenced. As I walked down the main road en route to one of my favourite Charity Shops, the tedium of the trudge along the car filled landscape was eventually relieved…across the horizon I spotted that the second-hand shop was open! Yippee! And then wow! My first fashion item in months, it was bright, brash and bold! (And yes I did have my shades on at the time…). A sky blue vinyl magazine print bag so I snapped it immediately, with the words ‘Enraptured ‘, ‘Style’, ‘Lipstick’, ‘Eyebrow’, ‘Hairdressing’, and curiously ‘Cutis’, whatever that is…(skin!).

Unfortunately this bag as it is won’t make it into the fashion magazines anytime soon…

I was relieved to find something of visual interest. A colourful collage of ‘inspiration’ that in itself maybe not quite ‘fashion’…but heyho you have to take sometimes what you can get…With the curious “will take you back into your own history or forward into it”, (hmmm could be useful later on) and “art leads to concept of…”. Adding more intrigue and curiosity at least I was not bored…!  For something that won’t make it into any fashion magazine unless for an ironic or ‘non-fashion’ reason I actually love that aspect of it. Magazine print items are not new as my recent-ish before lockdown pictures of the Vogue clutch bags show here, they are not exactly exciting with their repetitive pattern and are rather bland overall though maybe I’m on to something?

they maybe ‘Vogue’ but they are not ‘fashion’…!?

With clothes shops now open I spotted a newsprint top in New Look, so is ‘something’ is happening in the ‘chitter chatter’ of our minds? With the news changing at a rapid pace by the time it is printed something else is occurring…therefore only the ‘generic’ news headlines remain by default ‘up-to-date’, oh well maybe in the future fabrics will have the capability to incorporate digital imagery now that would really be something really newsworthy…!

a New Look at magazine print, maybe digital one day???
