A ‘monthly’ I will not dread…hello Fashion mag!
Was in W H Smith recently & spotted a new fashion mag for just £1! Produced by Hello magazine I thought I’ll have to check this out.. So settling down with a nice cup of tea & a Swiss roll I took a deep breath & ‘delved in’..& there was plenty inside that caught my ‘fashion eye’. From ‘Get the look’ ‘Radar’ & ‘From screen to catwalk’ articles there was a nice synopsis of looks, styles & trend’s. My favourite was ‘The Agenda’ a round up of key looks, so noting these I set out to test the ‘theory’. On the High St I popped in Primark with my ‘list of looks’, & found examples of the gladiator sandal & platform shoes but no clogs or ‘flared’ heel..I had to look to my ‘trusty catalogue’ to find the peep toe & lo & behold I had a key new trend right in my jewellery box! That of the ‘chain necklace’ my silver one gathering dust for so long I can’t even remember when i bought it…so I was pleased to note I am ‘trending’ again! Not sure about wearing platform’s (I had some as a kid in the 1970’s) so although I love them they are a ‘bit too nonsense, for me, though the peep toe sandal is definitely a possibility! & ‘age appropriate’ too if you see what I mean..so overall a very good buy with a great selection of looks it certainly wetted my ‘fashion appetite’ so I think I will be saying ‘hello’ again to this fashion monthly, though I must admit I did skip any ‘celebrity’ article’s ‘a bit too nonsense’ for me…oh well I guess it’s back to that Swiss roll..
