‘done the doughnut’ now I’m having the ‘festive’ pie!

Not really being a fast food aficionado never the less from my recent experience of the millionaires doughnut I was more than tempted by the festive pie, a mix no less of custard & mince…together in one pie! Rather a novelty & talk about multi-tasking…! Well I thought I’d give it a go and try purchasing it the modern way on the app…(stepping outside of my comfort zone…think I’m brave really). Of course I couldn’t have it on it’s own so again ordered the toffee latte (I’m really not keen on their normal latte), so having tried their ‘famous’ hot apple pie previously I was expecting something similar with the festive pie and yes on the outside that’s what I received.

it was small & on outer appearance rather like the apple pie

Presented in a suitably ‘christmassy’ festive red card wrapper I opened it excitedly, certainly it was small but I guess similar in size to the normal apple pie. On first bite I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t totally burn my lips & mouth (unlike the apple pie which is usually steaming hot – maybe they should put a ‘hot’ warning on that…?). First bite revealed the custard, then the second and third bite more custard, it tasted ok but I was wondering where on earth was the mince??? As that is what will give this pie a ‘kick’ and the right to it’s festive name! So 3/4 down the pie finally the mince was revealed, again tasted ok though nothing to get at all excited about. Overall rather a let down…though won’t be trying the ‘reindeer treats’ as that’s pure carrots! And who needs that at Christmas apart from apparently reindeer’s…hmm…no I’m just not ‘buying’ it!!

a marketing dream reindeer ‘treats’ = just carrots!
