Grabbed by the Grinch!
I was cheered in the run-up to Christmas by a fast food chain’s new menu, which was right up my street! Why? Because the theme was the Grinch, and I’m totally with the Grinch in regards to Christmas. There are aspects of it I enjoy, but overall I’m really not that bothered. Rather miserable, yes, but the Grinch isn’t pro-Christmas, and neither am I if I’m totally honest. Therefore, I had to check out this whole Grinch celebration, even though I don’t normally eat fast food, I couldn’t resist the Grinch menu. Firstly, I had the Grinch meal, which was better than expected going with the vegetarian option, but the most interesting aspect was the Grumble pie. Wow, I loved the name, very in tune with the Grinch ethos (apart from looking rather reptilian – though not sure why?).
Watch out there’s a Grinch about! And he might be coming for your meal…!
Inside was a slight amount of jam with a custard filling, and to be quite frank, it wasn’t bad at all. I actually quite like going to fast food places on my own sometimes, just sitting there watching the world go by, eating my Grumble pie! And in this instance, I have nothing to grumble about!! Which is unusual for me and rather fitting! So for this fast food chain, which you might guess is McDonald’s, gets a big thumbs up this Christmas. The Grinch is excellent, I love it and Dr. Seuss. I’m totally on the same page and I loved the Grumble pie! And let’s not forget the bonus – the Grinch odd socks, which were good quality considering they were free with the meal. I was not expecting any kind of quality on that score, so I was pleasantly surprised. All in all, a good ‘Grinch Grumble pie’, experience, and for once, I have nothing to moan about….! A ‘relief to many’ concerned…!
