Greetings & time for some ‘Christmas Crackle’!!
So firstly Greetings to all! Hope you like the Christmas baubles! Very fetching I feel, they are in fact ‘retro’ due to the image of a card from a 1970’s pack I found in a Charity shop a while back.
So I have an update (as promised) regarding Stephanie – she has changed outfits for Christmas! (just as I thought…) though the effect is slightly dis-concerting…the complete change to a green satin ball gown with cream roses & trim, but there is no hat/headwear or any accessories that accompanies. (Rather disappointing I feel…& does she possess a wig?) Well you could, maybe look at it as rather a ‘minimalist approach’…(with no hair/wig or further detailing) & the dress is rather crinkled = providing what I would refer to in this instance as the ‘Christmas Crackle’ effect..personally I would of liked to have seen a nice satin evening bag with some sparkle detail, a diamanté choker & bracelets & a fake fur stole (colour options either cream or gold I would suggest).
Also there is that rather distracting Santa behind her, (not a lot we can do about that at this time of year). Stephanie does look at least relieved to have changed outfit after so long in that black leaf detail dress, somehow she is looking rather ‘serene’ (which is not very easy to achieve when you have a silly faced Santa on your shoulder!) but well these are the trials of being a charity shop mannequin I suppose…& we just have to live with what’s ‘available’.
Though it is nice to at least aspire to a more ‘fashion forward’ ideal, so it looks like ‘creases & crinkles are back in’ – you’ve seen it’s revival here first on a satin ballgown that even the Grinch would approve of! Happy Holidays!
