It’s just 50p part two…

It’s been quite a while since I posted regarding my 50p charity shop bargains see here It’s just…..50p!! – Philippa Nestie well with still a real need to continue tightening my costs I have resorted to picking up a number of 50p items once again. (In fact I haven’t really stopped…it’s just that the items are usually more than 50p…). I can’t profess to have quite as many items as before as even charity shops have increased their prices…though not so much as everywhere else and because of this they are becoming a more popular choice and I really can see why. Well first off in not one but two charity shops a whole bunch of fashion magazines were available all for just 50p! Mainly Vogue’s but also I bought Fashion Monthly as pictured above. In addition I came across some very useful navy knee highs and a glittery face mask (which obviously is going to be thoroughly cleansed…).

more tights from an ”extinct brand, the Vogue and a Lancome sunscreen

Of course I bought a Vogue…infact I bought 4 at this price! As it’s unlikely to happen again anytime soon! I found some suitable ‘everyday’ tights from Safeway…which was one of my favourite supermarkets that no longer exists in the UK (not sure if still in the US?) but it was bought out by Morrisons a long while ago and I have to say I’m a fan of the branding on this item. Then I grabbed a Lancome eye & lip protector in the hope of some sun coming my way soon but who knows? At least it’s there if I want it…

Nokia classic phone case, a nifty note book and a Clinique cosmetic for 50p!

Then I found an amazing Nokia phone case BNIB which is absolutely no use to me…at the minute, but with it’s fun smiley faces I just couldn’t resist this pop art classic! Alongside I found a very neat & petite note book with a  durable ‘sunshine’ yellow cover just the ticket for popping in my handbag! Also a bargain mini Clinique eyeshadow in a handy neutral shade complete with unused applicator! Wow! Though sometimes these items are that ‘good’ I daren’t use them as I’ll probably never come across them again…let alone buy them! Almost ‘museum’ pieces to me and all for just 50p!
