On the eve of ‘everything’….?
Well not really but non-essential shops open tomorrow!!! Yippee…!!! After this very long wait what can we expect? Well a much reduced high street that’s for sure and big queues initially. Though it will be good to not have to ‘virtual shop’ and visit a shop that sells clothes…and just clothes…wow! That will feel strange after all this time and yep Charity shops will also be allowed to open so can’t wait to try those out this week. Though the experience will be bittersweet with so many shops unable to re-open from big chains to the smaller independents.
Personally I’m not planning on going crazy to spend spend spend and with other budget restrictions it’s not really possible or viable, so I’ll be back to my budget shops and all those other shops I’ve missed. Hopefully after the last lock down more shops will be open. Well actually that isn’t possible if they have already shut down from the last time duh…wishful thinking I guess and trying to escape the grim reality of our times. The biggest turn down since the great frost of 1709 over 300 years ago…! Phew…goodness that is heavy…better try and ‘turn this frown around’ (yikes! hate that saying but it is suitable…) because despite the terrible losses of recent times it’s time to celebrate the small wins and get back some resemblance to ‘normality’.Hmmmm….let’s see how this goes…?
