Putting my feet up

Post operation it’s early days for me with my left foot operated on. I’m having to take it easy, which means elevating my foot as much as possible. I’m hobbling around on crutches, struggling with stairs, cursing each step, and wishing I lived in a bungalow! It’s given me time for reflection even though I’m still working from home. Sorting through photos from my vast collection I was truly bored of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I wondered what ‘delights’ I would discover? I came across a snuggle, or rather a ‘Huggie’ blanket complete ‘with hood’,  full sleeves, a large pocket with ‘one size fits all’. Sounds promising. Such items came out a while ago, I believe they were introduced as a ‘slanket’ for ‘slouch blanket.’ It was all very novel at the time, imagine a blanket that you can wear! It became quite the rage, and apart from looking a bit silly, they did offer comfort and cosiness. Despite this, I’m still not tempted…Oh no! So…what else did I find? Some ‘Sleep, Sleep and more Sleep’ pyjamas and if that wasn’t enough, an alternative was ‘Nap Queen’ pyjamas, (yes you heard it hear ‘first’!) not to mention some funky diamante slippers. Though slippers are out for me at the moment, I feel much safer in just socks. Eventually it’ll be good to be out and about again.  But now it’s just some R&R whilst taking gentle steps to recovery.

interesting…but all a bit too ‘pink’ for me…
