‘Spring Greens’ with my ‘Fashion Eye’
With a ‘spring in my step’ I approached a mini project with a very ‘zingy’ feeling. It’s always been on my mind to make my own lavender scented pillow, but of course I wanted to do it in my ‘own style’, my ‘own way’ and subvert somewhat this ‘sweet smelling’ wardrobe accoutrement.
I did initially toy with making myself ‘Wardrobe Mistress’ but decided on reflection to ’shelve that’ and to go with my ‘Fashion Eye’. What could be more suitable? I also decided to keep ‘away from the flowers’, and actively not use a floral theme (unlike my inspiration’s pictured below). I wanted to go out on a ‘green limb’ to ‘branch out’ as it were…and decided on this feisty Spring Green ‘citrusy’ fabric, most appropriate for this time of year. The eye (mine) and a font were already featured in my post here https://philippanestie.com/my-fashion-eye-2/ I merely had to ‘transpose’ this to my embroidery software and hey presto! Away we go! The trimming of the ribbon in green (a very interesting rose print one) and purple contrasted nicely with the spring fresh green which made me think of the purple tulips I just seen in the park…The lace is bold turquoise, no ‘wishy-washy’ colours here! And is produced of course using my ‘eponymous Fashion Label’ – RagAsh. Therefore I hope you enjoy my offering all produced with my ‘Fashion Eye’…
