Time for another ‘High Latte’…! the turban is back! (again..)
This weekend there was a ‘special’ on Fashion One channel with (thank goodness) more up to date shows & features, so I had to tune in & catch up on all the latest trends….so instead of continuously showing A/W 14 shows, Belarus, Poland, ‘Blonds’ or Fashion Philosophy etc etc again & again, we were treated with S/S 15 collections (about time too!) I really was needing this, so with my ‘ready made’ Latte (see post 9th Nov here https://philippanestie.com/fashion-one-is-the-one/) & a Welsh scone (try them v nice from M&S – I don’t bake) I relaxed back to watch…
At first I was so excited I couldn’t take it all in so managed to record some to review later. The one accessory that stood out for me were the hats & (wait for it..) the turban yes that darn turban has not disappeared (see my fashion page here https://philippanestie.com/fashion-accessories/) where I tried out this look….This turban is from the S/S 15 Moschino show (& what a show if you can catch it – definately not for the shy…) the other interesting elements I found was this over sized hat by J W Anderson S/S 15 in fact I’m not sure this pic captures just how over-sized it is..
It is most definately the hat to hide under & especially good if you wish to remain ‘anonymous’ & ‘incognito’…basically you can achieve looking stylish & avoiding identification by a ‘certain person’ you may wish to escape from…the other hat that ‘caught my eye’ was ‘surprisingly’ by Donna Karan NY, this is what I would call a ‘Chimney pot’ hat..this look is certainly not for the faint hearted & you can’t really ‘hide’ under it, it makes me think of Victorian villians & friends of the ‘Artful dodger’ so I’m just wondering whether this ‘interesting‘ look will catch on? Will either you or I be wearing a Chimney pot hat this spring?? Or will this look merely de-materialise in a puff of smoke?!! We’ll have to see…if this will translate to the ‘street’….or not..& whether a ‘Victorian Villian’ will appear (I do hope so as it would be fun!)
