Pearl ‘point’

It’s been over 5 years since I covered pearls in response to an article ‘a la Vogue’ https://philippanestie.com/pearls-the-way/. This is this was during lockdown, and pearls popularity certainly hasn’t faded since. They are perennial, and I don’t think they will ever leave fashions orbit. They may appear in different styles and accents, but nothing changes the core element which will remain. Pictured above is a fine example by Simone Rocha, a perfect pink ‘paradise’ pearl bag, it’s so sculptural, why not leave it on display? Alongside is another pearl bag, by who? I was forgetful and didn’t get the name. Update ‘mystery’ solved its a ROSANTICA Mini Holli Ostrica bag! Never heard of it but it’s nice…all thanks to Google lens!

I didn’t want the necklace but I bought the charger was it in mistake??

These are the high-end items contrasting with the charity shops pearl necklace and phone charger. (I debated at first whether to buy this and left, but then I returned and bought it). I thought I’d see if I could sell it, but I won’t be able to because the value is too low unfortunately, and I give up with Vinted…(that’s another story…maybe that app should renamed vented’). I have many more examples from my ‘pearl catalogue’ but do not want to distract with too much choice, so I’ll save them for another day. As you can see pearl will always be ‘on point’ whether high or low, expensive or cheap. The passion pearls ignite guarantees their legacy in fashions Hall of Fame. It’s only a shame I can’t afford the real thing, now that would really be ‘pearlfect’!
